Body products and bath oils nourish and heal your body from head to foot. Try from bath and body soaps, lotions, bath salts, scrubs and body moisturizers made using the best natural ingredients to moisturize and cleanse your skin from the inside out. Natural body moisturizers also available, in various great formulations to revitalize your dry skin quickly and naturally.

Body products and bath oils are an important part of any good bathing routine. Whether you have dry skin or oily skin, body products and bath oils can help bring harmony to your routine. For those with normal to oily skin, you may want to consider a separate bathing product. Most bath and body care brands carry a complete line of natural bathing and personal care products, including body oil, lotion, bath salts, scrubs and shower gels.

Some brands offer body cleansing products in special deluxe kits, including bath and body moisturizer, body cleanser and lotion, and more. You can even find eco-friendly bath and body products, as well as organic skin care options, that are free from synthetic chemicals, dyes, fragrances and preservatives. Try brands that use natural botanicals, instead of chemical fragrances, parabens, alcohols and other irritants.

Some bath and body products, such as body wash, contain added moisture to give you that soft feel after taking a dip in the water. But do be sure to read the label and ask for the ingredient list. In today’s environmentally conscious world, many companies are choosing to go green, and the new green movement in cleaning and laundry detergent includes “green” as a label. But be careful – some labels do not mean what they say. Check for ingredients such as “fragrance”, which is technically not a plant-based fragrance. Look also for antioxidants, which are good for your health, as well as products with no added fragrances, alcohol or petroleum products.

Have you heard about Oprah’s favorite face cream? It’s called Godfrey-June, and it is a line of bath and body products. Oprah’s mother, Irma Godfrey, used the line when she was battling skin-care problems, and Oprah’s mother used the line in the early sixties. According to their website, the brand was founded by Irma Godfrey-June during a “cia break” when she was “medically detoxed.”

According to its website, the brand offers “self-care” products such as body lotion, body moisturizer, body wash, body serum, lip care and antiaging skincare products. The latter is not too surprising since it was chosen as Oprah’s beauty secret. According to the website, Godfrey-June believes that aging is “caused by toxins accumulated in our cells, our organs and our blood.” According to Godfrey-June, the best way to counter aging is to “rejuvenate our cells, organs and blood with antioxidant and nutritional substances.” That’s a fine definition of a self-care product, but the skincare components do not come close to that.

According to the company’s website, Godfrey-June offers “no parabens, dioxane, alcohol, mineral oils, artificial preservatives, fragrances or petroleum products.” If that is a stand alone statement, I would like to ask you to look again. The word “alcohol” appears nowhere on the label. And the “dioxane” referred to in the statement refers to ethyl alcohol, which is listed as a cancer-causing chemical.

When I’m comparing the ingredients in Godfrey-June’s body products with those of other brands of non-natural personal care products, such as fragrance lotions and bath soaps, I’m not comparing like with like. I’m comparing apples and oranges – Godfrey’s lotions and bath soaps are not comparable, and the company’s promise to reverse skin aging is false. I would encourage you, as consumers, to seek out a much better alternative.
